এক কাঠবিড়ালি ছিলো l
সে তার নিজের কাজে রোজ সময় মতো যেত
আর নিজের কাজ খুব পরিশ্রম, বিশ্বাস আর দ্বায়িত্বের সঙ্গে করতো l
কাঠবিড়ালি প্রয়োজনের থেকেও অনেক বেশী পরিশ্রম করতো,
কিন্তু তারজন্য তার কোনো দুঃখ ছিলো না, বরং সে খুব খুশী ছিলো l
কারণ তার মালিক, জঙ্গলের রাজা বাঘ মহাশয় তাকে তার কাজের জন্য দশ বস্তা আখরোট দেবার কথা দিয়েছিলো l
কাঠবিড়ালিটি পরিশ্রম করতে করতে যখন ক্লান্ত হয়ে যেত,
সে ভাবতো, একটুখানি বিশ্রাম করে নি কিন্তু তখনই তার মনে পড়তো যে বনের রাজা বাঘ তাকে দশ বস্তা আখরোট দেবার কথা বলেছে l
সে আবার নতুন উদ্যমে কাজে লেগে যেত l
কাঠবিড়ালিটি যখন অন্য কাঠবিড়ালিদের খেলতে দেখতো তখন তারও মনে হতো যে আমিও ওদের সাথে খেলা করি ,
কিন্তু যেই তার আখরোটের কথা মনে আসতো, অমনি সে আবার কাজে লেগে যেত l
এমন কিন্তু নয় যে বাঘ তাকে আখরোট দিতে চাইত না, এই ব্যাপারে বাঘ মহাশয় অতি বিশ্বাসী ছিলো l
এমনভাবেই সময় কাটতে লাগলো ……..
এমন একদিন এলো যে বনের রাজা বাঘ কাঠবিড়ালিটিকে তার কথামত দশ বস্তা আখরোট দিয়ে মুক্ত করে দিলো l
কাঠবিড়ালি আখরোটের কাছে বসে ভাবতে লাগলো ….এখন এই আখরোট আমার কোন্ কাজে আসবে ?
সারাজীবন কাজ করে করে আমার দাঁত ভেঙ্গে গেছে,
এখন আমি এই আখরোট খাবো কি করে ?
এই কাহিনী এখন জীবনে সত্য হয়ে উঠেছে !
মানুষ নিজের সমস্ত ইচ্ছাকে ত্যাগ করে, সারাজীবন চাকরী, ব্যবসা আর অর্থ রোজগার করেই কাটিয়ে দেয় !
৬০ বছর বয়স হলে মানুষ এই কর্মজীবন থেকে মুক্তি পায় l
তার সারাজীবনের পুঁজি অর্থাৎ রোজগারের টাকা সে ব্যাঙ্কে জমা রাখে
কিন্তু শরীরে বয়সের অক্ষমতা আসার কারণে সেই অর্থভোগের লিপ্সাও আর থাকে না l
ততদিনে জেনারেশনের বদল হয় আর পরিবার পরিচালনার জন্য সন্তানরাও বড় হয়ে যায় l
সেই সন্তানরা কি এই অনুভব করতে পারে যে এই অর্থের পিছনে …….
কত ইচ্ছার মৃত্যু হয়েছে
কত পরিশ্রম হয়েছে
কত স্বপ্নের অকাল মৃত্যু হয়েছে
অক্লান্ত পরিশ্রমের মধ্যে দিয়ে অর্জিত প্রয়োজনের অতিরিক্ত অর্থের কি লাভ
যা কিনা মানুষ বয়সের ক্ষমতার কারণে নিজে ভোগে অসমর্থ হয়
এই কারণেই খুশীতে বাঁচো,
ব্যস্ত অথচ সাথে সাথে মস্তিতে থাকো l
জীবন থেকে আনন্দ রোজ নাও l
না যদি পাও ……..সেই আনন্দের খোঁজ নাও ll
